Hutto City Council will consider five contracts associated with the CR 132 realignment project at its meeting Jan. 9. The project orders total just over $1 million.

About the project

The CR 132 project includes the construction of a new two-lane roadway section with a 10-foot shared-use path.

The scope of the road project includes realigning about a half mile of CR 132, from north of Limmer Loop to CR 133. The city will also reconstruct a bridge-class culvert on CR 132, as well as add a detention pond with potential six-foot walls.

The update

Five contracts for the road project are on the consent agenda for the Jan. 9 meeting. The individual project orders establish scope of services with several contractors and follow the master service agreement from Nov. 7.

A $811,000 project order with Freese and Nichols includes design services as well as environmental studies, utility coordination, and bid and construction phase support. The city is also considering a $113,239 contract with Cobb & Fendley for Subsurface Utility Services, Utility Coordination and Survey.

The final three project orders include right-of-way land services, geotechnical engineering services and appraisal services, each totaling less than $50,000.
