Beginning May 1, the city of Hutto will enter Stage 1 water conservation efforts, asking customers to limit watering to two days per week.

What you need to know

Stage 1 water conservation efforts are voluntary and enacted during mild drought conditions.

The following schedule will help conserve water as summer weather approaches:
  • Industrial, commercial and institutional customers: Mondays and Fridays
  • Even-numbered residential addresses: Sundays and Thursdays
  • Odd-numbered residential addresses: Saturdays and Tuesdays
Outdoor water should take place before 10 a.m. or after 8 p.m. on designated days. This includes automatic irrigation systems and hose-end sprinklers.

The city also urges water customers to minimize water use for nonessential purposes.

If the city moves to Stage 2, the above water conservation efforts will become mandatory and enforceable.

Jonah water customers are currently following the city of Hutto’s water regulations, while Manville customers will begin mandatory summer watering policies beginning May 1 and lasting until September.
