Hutto may seek funding from Williamson County for several planned transportation projects.

The county is seeking proposals from local cities on projects to be included in a possible road and park bond election this November.

At its May 4 meeting, Hutto City Council will consider proposing four projects for the bond with a total request of $70.57 million in county funds.

The proposed projects and their requested funding are:
  • $40.18 million for a project constructing an overpass on CR 132 over Hwy. 79;
  • $19.07 million for a project repaving and expanding CR 137;
  • $10.8 million for a project realigning CR 132; and
  • $525,000 for a project adding 0.25 miles of concrete trail to the Brushy Creek trail system.
The deadline for cities to submit their proposals was April 28, but the city received permission to submit its requests after the deadline, according to city documents.
