Hutto has narrowed its search for a new city manager down to four candidates.

The city announced the names of the four finalists June 23: James Earp, Manuel De La Rosa, Richard Beverlin III and Tarron Richardson.

Earp serves as the assistant city manager in Kyle as well as the director of the North Texas Certified Public Manager Program.

De La Rosa has more than 35 years of municipal experience and serves as city manager in San Benito.

Beverlin, the city manager in Leander, has more than 20 years of municipal experience.

Richardson serves as program and operations manager in Richmond, Virginia, and has more than 18 years of municipal experience.

More detailed bios of the candidates are available in the city's announcement.

The four finalists were selected from a group of 46 applicants, according to the announcement.

The city announced earlier this week that it will hold a reception June 29 where members of the public can meet the candidates and provide feedback ahead of final City Council interviews June 30.
