The filing period for the May 7 Hutto elections opened Jan. 19.

In Hutto ISD, seats for Billie Logiudice, Terrence Owens and Morgan Hubbard expire this May. In the city of Hutto, races will occur for Mayor Mike Snyder's seat, Place 3 Council Member Mandi Villareal Salvo's seat and the Place 6 seat that is now vacant following the Jan. 14 resignation of Council Member Tanner Rose.

The filing window will remain open to potential City Council and school board candidates through Feb. 18 at 5 p.m.

Ballot applications to run for City Council are available at City Hall, 500 W. Live Oak St., Hutto, or they can be downloaded from the city's website. Applications to run for Hutto ISD school board are available on the district's website.

The last day to declare write-in candidacy will be Feb. 22, before 5 p.m.


Hutto ISD school board and Hutto City Council members serve at-large, staggered three-year terms.
