The school has previously faced several construction delays due to budget constraints, but district officials said the school is scheduled to open for the 2023-24 school year.
Brandon Cardwell, the district’s executive director of facilities and support services, said the district is just waiting to finalize a warranty bond with the city for the new road adjacent to the school.
He said that should be complete and the school should have its certificate of occupancy awarded by the end of April.
The school, located at 18218 Hidden Lake Drive, Pflugerville, will have a capacity of 850 students and will cost around $3 million to staff and open, according to district materials.
Funding for construction of the school came from a 2018 bond.
