Typhoon Texas in Pflugerville will hold a job fair Feb. 19 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The water park is looking to fill roughly 500 seasonal jobs, including lifeguards, food handlers and in-park entertainment, according to a press release.

The "festival-like" job fair will feature park tours, music, food and prizes. Candidates should prepare for on-the-spot interviews, the release said. Applications are also available online.

Chisholm Tate, Typhoon Texas director of human resources, said he recommends first-time applicants emphasize their leadership roles in school, volunteer work and extracurricular activities.

“If you’re responsible, attentive and like to have fun, then we will find a place for you,” Tate said.

Located at 18500 N. SH 130, Pflugerville, Typhoon Texas will open for weekends starting in May and daily starting Memorial Day weekend.
