The breakdown
Following the second approval of the request, the rezoning is now in effect and includes:
- 50 acres for single-family residential space
- 9 acres for single-family mixed use intended to be townhomes
- 3.5 acres for general business
- 12 acres for park or open space
“I would love to see some missing middle homeownership opportunities,” Place 5 council member Melody Ryan said at the June 24 meeting.
What else?
UP Engineering is In the process of doing a floodplain study and has plans to tie in to the wastewater system that the Meadowlark Preserve neighborhood is currently using. The development team will utilize Manville Water Supply for water service.
The project also includes a connection between Jesse Bohls Drive and Steger Lane.
Refinement of the development will be addressed during the subdivision process, according to city documents.
