The Travis County Tax Office in Pflugerville will be closed from Nov. 6 until next summer for remodeling and expansion.

Renovations to the tax office on Foothill Farms Loop are intended to “better serve the growing community,” according to a county news release.

What residents need to know

For vehicle registration renewal, owners can use the state online portal as well as certain H-E-B, AAA or Brookshire Brothers locations. Homeowners can pay property taxes on the county site through eCheck, which has a $1 fee.

Pflugerville residents can also use Austin tax office locations during the closure. The East Austin location at 4705 Heflin Ln. is a drive-thru only service and provides vehicle registration renewals, disabled parking plates and placards, temporary plates and property tax payments.
