A new industrial development may be on its way to Pflugerville's SH 130 Commerce Park.

At a Sept. 13 meeting, Pflugerville City Council approved a specific-use permit allowing office, warehouse and light industrial use on a 24-acre lot south of Helios Way, west of Impact Way and east of Sun Light Near Way.

According to city materials, three buildings are planned for the site: two for manufacturing and one as a training facility. The proposed buyer is EVS Metal Fabrication, a sheet metal fabrication company that already has a facility in Pflugerville, but Amy Madison, Pflugerville Community Development Corp. executive director, said the deal is still in the works.

The ordinance will still require a second reading at a future council meeting before going into effect.
