Iowa-based traffic control systems manufacturer MoboTrex, Inc. will move its regional headquarters from Austin to Pflugerville's One Thirty Business Park, located near the intersection of East Pecan Street and SH 130.

Pflugerville City Council approved an economic development performance agreement between MoboTrex and the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation at an April 26 meeting.

The agreement offers MoboTrex a relocation grant of up to $150,000 on the condition that it invests $13 million and relocates or hires 110 full-time employees to the new facility within five years.

Previously headquartered at 301 W. Howard Ln., Austin, MoboTrex's new Pflugerville facility will be approximately 130,000 square feet, according to a PCDC release.

MoboTrex will use its new regional headquarters for manufacturing and distribution of signalized intersection systems, the release said.

"We welcome the regional headquarters for MoboTrex to the city of Pflugerville and look forward to the continued expertise and technology they will provide for traffic control systems in the region and throughout the nation,” PCDC Executive Director Amy Madison said in the release.
