The discussion will follow a presentation from city staff outlining the budget process and highlighting projected revenue.
City materials indicate several more presentations and discussions will take place in the coming months before city staff delivers a proposed budget Aug. 4.
Council will hold a public hearing and first reading of the budget and tax rate Sept. 1, then vote to approve the budget and tax rate Sept. 15.
The FY 2022-23 budget process will be the first full budget process under the management of Chief Financial Officer Angie Rios, who joined the city in the middle of last fiscal year's budget process.
