Prost Alehouse, a brewery that was scheduled to have a grand opening event Aug. 1 at 115 E. Main St., Pflugerville, has delayed opening until October, staff from the Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce said.

Co-owner Troy Dudley, who did not respond to repeated requests for comment from Community Impact, first announced the brewery was coming to downtown Pflugerville in September 2020.

The business, which is planned to have a rotating selection of craft beers brewed in-house as well as a deck, a taproom and a biergarten, was then scheduled to open mid-2022, but delays pushed the opening date to summer 2023 and, most recently, to October 2023.

"There are so many moving parts, and basically they are not ready to open yet," said Carrie McGuire, member services representative for the Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce.
