Austin Parks Foundation’s 15th annual It’s My Park Day is scheduled to take place Saturday in parks and greenbelts throughout the Austin metropolitan area.

“We have about 100 individual projects for tomorrow, which is in line with what we have had in past years,” APF’s Chief Strategy Officer Allison Watkins said. “We’re anticipating about 3,500 volunteers but there is definitely more room for people to sign up.”

She said APF is looking for volunteers at small neighborhood parks as well as larger metropolitan parks. The majority of projects begin at 8 a.m. and end at noon.

Watkins encourages those interested in volunteering to register in advance on the foundation’s website. Volunteers can also register on-site tomorrow, but will have to fill out a safety waiver before participating, she said.

Details can be found at www.austinparks.org.
