Road crews for the city of New Braunfels will begin a three- to four-month rehabilitation project on West San Antonio Street on Nov. 18.

Affecting San Antonio from Academy Avenue to Walnut Avenue, the project will implement roadway and curb repairs, according to a city news release.

The repairs will be done in two phases, and traffic will be transitioned from one side of the roadway to the other in order to allow two-way traffic throughout the duration of the project, the release said.

New Braunfels residents can expect various road closures on San Antonio and adjacent side streets during each phase of the project. Once complete, the project will improve the “rideability” of West San Antonio, the release said.

The project is part of the 2013 Citywide Street Improvements Bond Program.
