Local custom cake designer Bento Bakes opened a brick-and-mortar location in the Anderson Mill area Dec. 14. Founder and baker Jen Bento, who ran her bakery from her own kitchen for four years, crafts intricate, custom cakes out of buttercream frosting and fondant decorations for birthday parties, showers, weddings and other celebrations. The bakery, located at 13776 Research Blvd., Ste. 139, Austin, also runs daily specials, Bento said.
