The West Austin Chamber of Commerce is joining with Concordia University Texas to host an evening of local West Austin flavors and music Oct. 11 from 5-8 p.m. at Concordia University Texas, 11400 Concordia University Drive, Austin. Attendees will be able to enjoy small bites, a cash bar, live music, ax throwing and raffle prizes.

“We are hoping that a lot of community members will come out and enjoy the event and see what the Four Points area and west of Austin is really about,” said Fran Bates, executive director of the West Austin Chamber of Commerce.

This is the first-of-its-kind event with a food tasting and raffle hosted by the West Austin Chamber of Commerce after COVID-19 pandemic, Bates said. Previously, the chamber has hosted luncheons to raise funds.

A variety of restaurants including Steiner Ranch Steakhouse, Las Palapas, Kale Me Crazy, Schuck Me, FreeBirds, Chick-fil-A and Rudy’s will participate in the event. Breaking Point will provide the ax-throwing experience. Parking is free on campus, and attendees can follow signs to Building B to the event. The Four Points H-E-B is a main sponsor of the event.

The event is open to the public and will benefit the YMCA of Austin and West Austin Chamber of Commerce.

Tickets are $29-$249. Raffle tickets are $5 or 15 for $50. www.westaustinchamber.org
