Why are you running for office?
I am running for office because the very foundation of our democracy is at stake, and the constituents of TX-11 deserve a representative that will ensure Congress does its job by acting as a check on the abuse of authority by the executive branch.
What would be your top priorities if elected?
I will: (1) stop the daily violations of the U.S. Constitution by this presidential administration; (2) restore funding to the federal programs that help working class Americans; (3) pass legislation requiring Medicare for all; and (4) pass legislation protecting the right to an abortion nationwide.

In most of my district, housing prices are going up and salaries are remaining stagnant, so even with low unemployment, people are struggling. Many parts of Texas, including District 11, are facing a serious water crisis. We will need to focus on water conservation and investing in new reservoirs, among other things.

My plan is to ensure that constituents all over District 11 can be heard. Although technology can help, given the large geographical area that is covered, I will develop mobile office hours so that rural constituents receive the same attention as urban constituents.
