A new scholarship for select, in-need students in Travis, Williamson and Hays counties will be available this fall at Concordia University Texas in Austin.

What you need to know

The Concordia Texas Promise program is a scholarship aimed at helping expand access to higher education for students with the highest financial need, according to a news release. After federal, state and institutional aid has already been applied, the program is set to cover remaining tuition costs for eligible undergraduate students from the three counties in the Austin metro.

Scholarship applications for the fall 2025 semester are due June 1, and applications for the spring 2026 semester are due Nov. 1, according to the release.

“We believe that financial barriers should not stand in the way of a student's ability to achieve their academic and career goals,” Concordia President and CEO Kristi Kirk said in the release. “The Concordia Texas Promise is an investment in the potential of our community’s students and in the future of Central Texas.”
