"I really am completely humbled having the opportunity to serve Round Rock ISD," he said. Tisch added that he regrets he will miss RRISD's graduation ceremonies next week. He said with his job change, he has a small window of time for him and his wife to take a vacation. He wished the district's graduating seniors the best of luck. "I am very proud of them and their accomplishments," he said. Tisch said he informed RRISD Superintendent Steve Flores and board President Diane Cox of his decision Thursday and will likely submit his official letter of resignation Friday. “We are excited for Trustee Tisch’s new career opportunity and grateful for his service to Round Rock ISD,” Cox said in a statement. “We will continue to work together as a board to serve our students and community. We wish Paul and his family the best in this new chapter of their lives.”   His resignation is not effective immediately. The RRISD board will need to accept his resignation and approve a process to install a replacement. The board plans to address the next steps during its June 15 regular meeting, according to an RRISD news release. Tisch has been an RRISD trustee since 2013 and has served in the past as the board's president. He holds the Place 6 position on the seven-member board. His term is set to expire in 2018.
