Volunteers will spread out across Williamson County on the evening of Feb. 24 to conduct a point-in-time count of people experiencing homelessness.
This is the first countywide PIT count in Williamson County since 2011, according to a press release by San Antonio-based Endeavors, an organization that serves vulnerable populations.
Endeavors is the lead agency performing the PIT count and is working alongside the WilCo Homeless Coalition and the Texas Homeless Network, according to the release.
The count will include people in unsheltered locations such as cars, parks, streets and sidewalks, as well as those in emergency shelters and transitional housing, according to the release.
