Austin baker Laura Galos opened the first brick-and-mortar spot for her Nordic-inspired bakery March 30 inside Austin-based Malone Specialty Coffee.

Galos said The Fika Table started as a cottage bakery in 2020 to fulfill her dream of owning a business utilizing her passions for baking and friendly gatherings.

What's on the menu

Drawing inspiration from her Finnish heritage, Galos creates specialty baked goods, such as her signature Swedish cardamom buns garnished with pearl sugar—which can also be purchased in a frozen four-pack.
