HK Tea opened their doors next to Pho Phong Lu’u.

What to know

The tea shop is connected to the pho eatery next door, owned by Luu Vu, Vinh Vu, Khanh Vu, Long Nguyen and Brenda Luu. There is a glass door that separates the inside of the business, but when the pho restaurant is open, the glass door is opened so guests can freely walk between the two businesses.

Owner William Ho said the tea shop stands out because of their focus on Hong Kong tea, as implied through the business’ name. The store’s drinks are more tea-forward so they are not as sweet as drinks from other tea places in the area, Ho said.

“That style of tea has a more bold tea flavor so it goes towards a more black coffee flavor,” Ho said.

The drink shop offers lemon teas, fruit teas, classic teas, milk teas and smoothies with over 20 add-on options. The business’ smoothies have a South Asian influence, Ho said.
