Breastfeeding Success announced the relaunch of its in-person birth and baby care classes at its North Austin location at 4201 W. Parmer Lane, Bldg. C, Ste. 250.

“With the spread of COVID-19, we transitioned all of our classes to live virtual format to protect the health of our pregnant patients and families with newborns,” Breastfeeding Success marketing consultant Janice Hostager said in a statement. “Now that we are no longer under [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] restrictions, we are able to bring back in-person group classes.”

The overview

According to Hostager, in-person classes will only be held at the North Austin location until Sept. 1, at which point classes will also resume at its South Austin location at 111 Ramble Lane, Ste. 115. Some classes will continue to be held on Zoom.

Breastfeeding Success gives expectant and new parents the knowledge and skills for a better birth experience and successful breastfeeding journey as well as a variety of baby care skills. Classes cover a range of topics, including:
  • The pregnancy and childbirth journey
  • Breastfeeding and formula
  • Newborn care
  • Infant CPR and safety
Classes are available for registration here. Early registration is encouraged due to limited class sizes.

Along with classes, Breastfeeding Success offers pediatric nutrition consultation; pregnancy, postpartum and new parent support groups; and hospital-grade breast pumps and pediatric scales available to rent.
