Farmer-owned Local Pastures has opened its first brick-and-mortar grocery shop.

The new store is on North Lamar Boulevard near Nervous Charlie's Bagels. Until now, Local Pastures has operated from a farm stand on West Oltorf Street.

The brick-and-mortar location sells pasture-raised meat and dairy products from its owners, Shirttail Creek Farm and Belle Vie Farm. Other locally grown products are available at the store.
