From today through Feb. 26, registered voters with an
acceptable form of photo identification may cast their ballot in person during early voting for the March 1 primary election.
Registered voters may also vote early by mail if the voter is: away from his or her county on election day and during early voting, sick or disabled, age 65 or older, or incarcerated.
The last day to submit an application for ballot by mail is
Feb. 19.
The ballot for the March 1 primary election includes 13 Republican candidates and 8 Democratic candidates for president of the United States.
Primary election ballots will differ depending on the
voter's county. In Travis County, local elections on the ballot include the District 47 state representative, District 49 state representative and sheriff. The Hays County ballot has races for Precinct 3 county commissioner and various county constable positions. In Williamson County, the District 31 U.S. representative, sheriff and Precinct 1 county commissioner are on the ballot.
