Lomeli began his career in education as a sixth-grade teacher before his career in school administration. He has worked in many school administrative positions in Oregon and California, including as a high school and middle school principal, a high school assistant principal and the dean of a middle school. Lomeli received a bachelor of science degree from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo and received a master’s degree from George Fox University in Oregon. “I look forward to getting there and start talking to people," Lomeli said. "I don't think my vision has been formed yet because I haven't heard from people yet. … I like to ask people what their fears and hopes are. … I want to make [Tom Glenn High School] different in an unique way. It's going to be fun to have innovative thinking and questioning [in the classroom]."
