The hotel and convention will be connected to The Ford Center, the Cowboys’ multi-use events center. It is expected to open in 2017. James Caldwell, TRT Holdings president and Omni Hotels CEO, said the company was leery at first of the idea of building a hotel in Frisco. “There’s a lot of competition in this area,” he said. “There’s hotels that just opened; there’s hotels that are under construction; there’s hotels that are being planned. What we’re fixing to build here is going to stand out from the crowd.” The 16-story hotel will feature 300 rooms and suites with the interior design reflecting Frisco’s motto “Progress in Motion” and the Dallas Cowboys’ history. It will include a fine dining restaurant, a lobby coffee and wine bar and a rooftop pool bar and grill. The rooftop pool and deck will include fire pits and cabanas. The hotel will also include a luxury retail store that will feature Dallas Cowboys-inspired art. http://communityimpact.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Omni2.jpg
