Though the RBFCU Gary Burns Fun Run was rained out this year, The Frisco Education Foundation has scheduled an expo Nov. 14 to celebrate the foundation's annual fundraiser. The event will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Stafford Middle School, 2288 Little River Drive. The No Run, Run Expo will feature food, games, prizes, entertainment and bounce houses. Those who signed up for the annual fun run can pick up their race t-shirts during the expo. At 10:30 a.m., FEF will award the Frisco ISD elementary, middle and high schools that had the most registered participants in the Fun Run. The FEF awards scholarships to graduating seniors and grants to educators to fund innovative ideas that benefit teaching and learning in the classroom. Funds raised for this year's cancelled fun run will still go toward scholarships and grants. The annual Gary Burns Fun Run is named for former Assistant Fire Chief Gary Burns. The FEF also named the Gary Burns Memorial Scholarship in his honor.
