For residents who have yet to register to vote, Collin College is hosting a free voter registration drive from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 30 at the Central Park Campus Atrium, 2200 W. University Drive.

Rock the Vote is hosted by the Center for Scholarly and Civic Engagement and Student Life and the Collin County League of Women Voters certified registrars.

To be eligible to register to vote in Texas, individuals must:

• be a United States citizen
• be a resident of the county
• be 18 years old (may register at 17 years and 10 months)
• not be a convicted felon (unless a person's sentence is completed, including any probation or parole)
• not be declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law
