Sub Zero Ice Cream, a company that achieved acclaim on popular TV show “Shark Tank,” opened Sept. 15 at 10123 Louetta Road, Ste. B400, Houston. The business provides customers with a new way to eat ice cream that involves freezing the dessert in liquid nitrogen.

Customers choose a yogurt and ice cream base, flavors and other add-ons before the mixture is frozen and served. The hand-mixed concoction is then frozen in a 15-second process that company officials said make it creamier and denser.

The ice cream company offers base options that are sugar-free, soy-based and without lactose. The wide range of options includes distinctive flavors, such as cinnamon and thin mint. Company officials said plans are in the works to open locations in Katy, The Woodlands, Pearland, Webster, Sugar Land and Galveston. 385-208-4353.
