Michael Quint has been named McKinney's new executive director of development services. Quint has been the city's planning director since August 2012.Micheal “Michael was selected from an excellent pool of candidates, and his city and industry experience has served the entire community well. We are excited about what he brings to the executive team,” Assistant City Manager Barry Shelton said in a news release. Quint joined the city in 2006 as a planner, and in that time has overseen the completion of a number of planning efforts including Phase I of the Northwest Sector Study Initiative, which recently received a CLIDE Award from the North Central Texas Council of Governments, the State Highway 5 Corridor Master Plan, and the implementation of Town Center Study’s vision through the adoption of a new form-based zoning code in downtown McKinney. “I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve the city staff, the City Council and the community as a whole in this new capacity,” said Quint in a news release.
