In anticipation of the hotel’s opening July 5, Bee Cave Mayor Caroline Murphy presented Adrian Overstreet, manager of the ownership group for Sonesta Bee Cave, with a proclamation June 23 naming July 5 as Sonesta Day in the city.
The hotel is the city’s first hotel and has been under construction for 15 months. The facility includes 195 guest rooms and 10,000 square feet of meeting and ballroom space. Its rooftop bar, Meridian 98, will be open to hotel guests as well as the public.
“We believe the new hotel will provide the Bee Cave area with needed hotel rooms as well as meeting and function space,” Overstreet said.
