Planning firm Nelson\Nygaard is looking for Round Rock residents to take an online survey as part of the process for creating a transit master plan for the city of Round Rock. The online survey allows residents to build a simulated transit system by selecting various service types while staying below a set budget. The survey also asks questions about what residents would like to see in potential transit service. "What we are hoping to get out of the responses is an understanding of what type of transit services the community is most interested in implementing over the next 10 years," said James Gamez, a senior associate with Nelson\Nygaard, in an email. "The survey results will help the project team in developing service alternatives, which we will then take back to the community in the fall." Gamez said the firm is hoping to receive more than 1,300 responses from the survey. The transit master plan is scheduled to be completed and presented to City Council by the end of the year, Gamez said. Residents can find the survey and more information about the transit master plan at www.rrtransitplan.com.
