Pflugerville residents believe the biggest issues the city will face during the next two years are growth management, road construction and traffic, according to survey results released June 23.
Nearly 700 residents responded to the survey conducted by Kansas-based research firm ETC Institute, which marked the first comprehensive poll to be administered in Pflugerville since 2012.
“The goal was to complete 600 surveys and we actually completed 664 surveys,” said ETC Senior Vice President Ronald Vine. “Anytime we complete that many more surveys than we had guaranteed it shows a high degree of interest on part of the citizens in their city government.”
The majority of Pflugerville residents said they were satisfied with the city’s services, quality of life, appearance of the community and police services, according to the survey results. Ninety-five percent of poll respondents said they decided to live in Pflugerville because of safety and security.
With regard to issues that influence the perception of Pflugerville, residents reported satisfaction rates higher than regional or national averages in all areas except the quality of downtown Pflugerville, according to the ETC Institute report.
