The sales office for The Terraces 120-unit condominium project is under construction, said Jon Snyder, director of planning and development at International Development Management. IDM is developing The Terrace and The Backyard projects on Bee Cave Parkway in Bee Cave.
Snyder said the office is slated to be housed in a converted ranch home that sits on the property and will be torn down when no longer needed.
When they open in 2017, the condominiums will be “high-end” units that include pedestrian access to the Hill Country Galleria and sold in the high $300 range per square foot, he said.
The Terraces project will also include 250,000 square feet of office space and a 6,500-square-foot restaurant, Snyder said.
The Backyard, a 35-acre project, will include a 125-room hotel similar to the vintage prototype built at The Domain in Northwest Austin, along with 335,000 square feet of office space, 16,000 square feet of meeting space with a restaurant, four sound stages, a 3,410-person capacity amphitheater and a 500-person capacity private party venue, he said.
The developers are planning to add amenities to the city including four lighted tennis courts, a splash pad at Central Park and a double right-turn lane from Bee Cave Parkway onto RR 620, Snyder said.
Groundbreaking on the projects is set for the end of this year or early-2016, he said.
