At its May 18 meeting, the Austin ISD board of trustees voted unanimously to approve principal appointments at Dobie Middle School and Oak Hill Elementary School.

DMS’s new principal will be Maggie Araujo, who most recently served as John B. Connally High School’s assistant principal of testing and intervention in Pflugerville ISD. Lori Komassa was appointed to lead OHES. Komassa was previously assistant principal at Odom Elementary School in AISD and has also served as a Casey Elementary School teacher as well as a teacher at Bridgepoint Elementary School in Eanes ISD. Board members did not discuss the appointments but voted to approve them as part of their consent agenda.
