Spotlight - Nothing Bundt Cakes

Annie Coates, store manager for Nothing Bundt Cakes, believes she knows why her family-oriented business continues to thrive.

In addition to the store’s signature bundt cakes made with fresh eggs, real butter and cream cheese, the manager said the store’s welcoming atmosphere and diversity of cake flavors combine for a satisfying customer experience.

“We always have samples out for people to try, and we welcome them to come in to do so,” Coates said.

The store’s most popular flavors include red velvet, chocolate chip, lemon white chocolate and raspberry.

The store carries 8- and 10-inch bundt cakes ($18.50-$29.50 for an 8-inch, $28.50-$39.50 for a 10-inch), tiered cakes, bundlets, personal size cakes sold individually ($3.99) or by the dozen ($45 for a bundle box) and bundtinis, or bite-sized cakes sold by the dozen ($18.50).

“The most unique thing is the bundt cakes are ready to go,” said marketing representative Regina Murphy, who also emphasized the flavor. “They are not your typical dry cakes like your parents used to make. They are moist and topped with our signature butter cream frosting.”

Spotlight - Centre Court Tennis

Centre Court Tennis, owned by Laura Hunter, is the only full-service tennis shop located in the heart of The Woodlands.

The business is in its third year in the shopping center, having opened November 2012. Since that time, Hunter has seen a significant increase in the popularity of the sport while the business continues to grow.

“I wanted to open a local apparel boutique for women,” Hunter said. “People wanted to see visors, jocks and other inventory. There were so many tennis-related products. So we have expanded our inventory.”
