Austin ISD will use May 22 as a make-up day for students following its closure of all schools earlier this year because of winter weather conditions March 5.

AISD offices and all schools will be open that day, according to an April 8 news release. The school district's board of trustees chose the date as a make-up day for inclement weather when it adopted its calendar for the 2014-15 school year.

The district also cancelled extracurricular activities on its campuses March 5 because of icy road conditions. For more information about AISD's weather cancellations and policies, visit www.austinisd.org.
