District voters passed a $287 million bond package May 10. The bond money will be used to build new campuses, fix aging infrastructure, increase safety and security and introduce new technology. PISD is expected to grow by about 400 new students per year, according to district estimates. In 2014 the district completed several bond projects including:
  • Pflugerville High School locker room renovations completed in October
  • Gym floor replacements completed for all elementary school campuses
  • Replacement of Connally High School elevator
  • Turf replacement for all three high school sports stadiums
Major items that have not been completed include:
  • Fourth high school, $104.4> million
  • Two new elementary schools, $50.85 million
  • Regional stadium, $25.8 million
  • Land acquisition, $7.2 million
