Cedar Park distributor fills demand for coffee and more
Whether one is in need of coffee, tea or cereal with a special touch, Waterfall Gourmet Beverages is a one-stop provider of products for coffee shops and other commercial customers.
Founded in 1999 the Cedar Park–based distributor has been supplying goods to coffee shops and upscale restaurants throughout the Southwest.
Waterfall offers coffee, milk alternatives such as soy and almond milk, syrups, tea, smoothies, oatmeal, paper products and more.
"We are a market leader in specialized coffee products," CEO and Founder Bob Hrobak said.
Together with five other team members, Hrobak and business partner and Chief Operating OfficerDouglas Kuehn manage distribution and the organization of the warehouse in Cedar Park where 800 items from throughout the world are stocked.
"The milk alternatives are our biggest business part," Kuehn said. "We buy them from Pacific Foods in Oregon, and we are their second-largest customer in the country in the food service channel."
Kuehn said 95 percent of Waterfall's customers are in Texas and include restaurants, cafes, schools, universities and churches.
The company's biggest assets are good products, fair pricing and great service, Hrobak said. The numbers reflect the company's success.
"Our business is growing very rapidly," Hrobak said. "In fact, over the last half decade, it has doubled about every 30 months."
Waterfall built a reputation over time, and that leads to customer recommendations, Hrobak said.
"A lot of our customers have been buying from us for 10 years," Kuehn said. "To always meet our customers' needs, our people rely on their [own]experience. They know when the cold weather starts the supply of cups has to go up because people will drink more spiced latte or cider."
