Republican Pat Fallon is leading the State Rep. District 106 race, beating out Democrat Lisa Osterholt and Libertarian Rodney Caston with 22 of 40 precincts reporting.

Fallon has 70.16 percent of the votes, Osterholt has 27.42 percent of the votes and Caston has 2.42 percent of the votes, according to unofficial results.

Fallon said he's always humbled when voters choose him over other candidates.

"It's our office and it's [the voters'] office," he said. "When people walk in to the District 106 office at E1312 at the Capital, they're always greeted with 'Welcome to your office,' because we're merely the caretakers of it."

Fallon said he wants to focus on border security and government transparency in the upcoming Texas legislative session.

"Open government is good government, and it's a government that people can trust," he said. "But we do, at the same time want to limit it as well because Texas is growing."
