Susan MacLeod was announced as the new CEO for Lakeway Regional Medical Center by the LRMC board of managers on Aug. 4.

MacLeod, who has more than 30 years of healthcare experience, has held numerous leadership positions including CEO and Chief Operational Officer roles, according to a news release. She most recently worked as a managing director at Hunter in Austin where she served as an interim COO in Minnesota, said LRMC Marketing Director Jewell Kibling.

"We are very excited to have Susan McLeod join the LRMC team," said LRMC Board Member Randy Eckert. "The fact that she is an Austin resident and she has a very strong background in physician relationships showed me that she was the best fit for this hospital."

MacLeod said she sees the hospital as a viable part of the community that provides the highest quality of care and strives for excellent patient outcomes.
