Local residents and businesses will come together on the evening of Aug. 1 to celebrate the 42nd annual Tomball Night.
The free festival, hosted by the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce, is held each year throughout the downtown area to showcase local businesses, vendors and families. Beginning at 5 p.m., the event will feature a night of live music, children's activities, shopping, door prizes and raffles. In addition, dozens of craft and food vendors will set up shop for patrons along Market and Commerce Streets.
"Businesses stay open late and we courage them to extend sales for the rest of the weekend," said Bruce Hillegeist, president of the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce. "We want people to come to Tomball and make it a habit."
As part of the event's cash giveaway, patrons who correctly identify one of 10 roaming mystery shoppers will receive $100. Tomball Night will conclude its festivities with a parade of lights and a fireworks display around 10 p.m. along Main Street.
