40 high schools received $500 for Project Graduation
Pedernales Electric Cooperative donated $20,000 to support senior activities such as Project Graduation to 40 area high schools on Feb. 14.
Each school, including Lake Travis and Vandegrift high schools, received $500 to provide seniors an opportunity to celebrate their high school graduation in a drug- and alcohol-free environment.
"Graduation is such an exciting rite of passage for young adults," said Michael Racis, PEC vice president of communications and business services. "These donations help ensure that our local high school graduates will be able to celebrate their achievements in safe, responsible ways."
Cedar Park, Dripping Springs, Lago Vista, Marble Falls, McNeil and Wimberley high schools were just a few of the Hill Country schools selected by the Pedernales Electric Cooperative.
