Fourteen-year Hutto resident Kara Pinnelli is running for one of two vacant seats in the May Hutto ISD board of trustees election.
Pinnelli and her husband Chris have raised three children in Hutto ISD, and currently have a sixth grader in Farley Middle School. Pinnelli believes her experience in the community, along with her background as a senior vice president and commercial lender for Broadway Bank will help her be the right fit for a trustee position.
"[My husband and I] are huge fans of HISD and applaud the awesome job all the teachers and administrators are doing every day," she said. "We feel like HISD is the best kept secret about Hutto."
