Cedar Park Though elections will not be held until May 10, Cedar Park City Council hopefuls have begun applying for their places on the ballot.
The mayor's seat and Place 2, Place 4 and Place 6 will hold elections for two-year terms. Mayor Matt Powell announced Jan. 6 his bid for re-election.
Place 2 Councilman Mitch Fuller said Jan. 23 he will not seek re-election. Former state Rep. Corbin Van Arsdale is running for the open seat. Place 4 incumbent Lowell Moore said he plans to run to keep his spot on City Council. He will face Mo Jahadi, Cedar Park 4B Community Development board member. In Place 6, incumbent Don Tracy said Jan. 30 he will run for election in May.
The last day to file to be on the ballot is Feb. 28.
