Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization staffers will be on hand Jan. 27 at Austin Christian Fellowship Student Center, 6401 River Place Blvd., Austin, at 7 p.m. to discuss future transportation plans in western Travis County.
Hosted by the Four Points Chamber of Commerce, the event is designed to help CAMPO identify potential transportation projects that may be featured in its 2040 Regional Transportation Plan. CAMPO approves the use of federal transportation funds throughout the region including Travis, Hays, Williamson, Burnet, Bastrop and Caldwell counties.
Participants are encouraged to bring forth ideas and feedback to the program.
"We urge our community to get involved and help with building the solution to our area growth and roadway improvements into the future," Ray Freer, Four Points Chamber of Commerce chairman, said in a news release. "This is one of our opportunities to help shape the solution for our area. We expect to have an interactive brainstorming session with CAMPO."
