St. Michael's Catholic Academy hosted its 9th annual Crusader Classic middle school basketball tournament Dec. 13–15.

Student athletes held food drives at their respective schools and donated the food to the Capital Area Food Bank rather than pay traditional tournament registration fees. More than 650 pounds of food was collected and delivered to CAFB.

Sixteen teams from eight schools participated in the tournament. St. Austin Catholic School donated the largest amount of food.
