Two Williamson County commissioners and the county judge canvassed votes from the Nov. 5 election during a Nov. 14 special meeting.

Commissioners Ron Morrison and Lisa Birkman motioned and seconded the motion to approve the votes as presented by Elections Administrator Jason Barnett.

"The percentage of voter turnout was higher on election day than during early voting," Barnett said. "I would seriously attest that to the vote centers."

More than 29,000 votes were cast during early voting and on Election Day for the November election, which included propositions for county road and park bonds as well as state amendments.

Only one vote machine in the county malfunctioned following the closing of polls Nov. 5, but the six votes it contained were recovered and counted in the election's final total.
